Amity Girt joined The Law Office of Josh Lamborn, P.C. in 2022 as Of Counsel. She brings an extensive level of courtroom experience that few litigators have. Amity worked at the Multnomah District Attorney’s Office for 15 years. As a senior Deputy DA, she managed two of the toughest units in the office – the child abuse unit and the violent crime unit. She tried nearly 100 cases to a jury or the court—including charges of murder, sexual abuse, sexual assault and felony assault. Upon leaving the DA’s office, Amity set her sights on vigorously pursuing civil justice for victims. Amity’s experience as a prosecutor equipped her with a deep working knowledge of the intersection between the Department of Human Services, School Districts, Law Enforcement, The Department of Community Justice, prosecutors and other community partners.

Amity is an Oregonian, born and raised in the Portland area. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in 2001 and her law degree from the University of Utah in 2004, where she was a Moot Court champion and a member of the Law Review editorial staff.  After graduating law school, she worked in private practice in Portland before joining the District Attorney’s Office, where she was known to be undaunted by challenging cases, a problem solver, efficient and always prepared. Above all, she always took the time to understand the needs of the most important part of any case: the victim.
